This interactive Human Resources session will review and offer participants the opportunity to apply the concept of behavioral based interviewing; using the recognized principle that past and present performance/behavior is the best predictor of future performance/behavior. Session participants are encouraged to bring a current job description for the position they most want to improve hiring results. The session will also offer practical guidance for the employee "life cycle" including communicating performance expectations during employment, as well as navigating the termination process.

Bio

Yvonne Brooks is the Western Regional Director of Human Resources for Staffmark Investment, LLC; a top ten staffing solutions provider in the United States. She started her Human Resources career in the staffing industry after graduating from Southwestern University at Georgetown, Texas. In 1994 she became the Human Resources Manager for AMP, a major electronics customer, and achieved her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, which she actively maintains. Since that time she has directed and provided Human Resource solutions in the high tech electronics, manufacturing, and financial services industries. Yvonne returned to the staffing industry in 2005, directing Human Resources across operations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. She achieved her Certified Staffing Professional (CSP) designation in 2014. She proudly serves as a Board member for Southwest Human Development Services, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the mental and physical well being of the children of the state of Texas through the benefits of the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program.
